The full carbon rims are handmade at HED’s headquarters in Minnesota from a high-grade 150 GSM carbon material, ensuring exceptional lateral stiffness for significant power efforts, reduced weight, and increased strength. The carbon is formed into a HED patented, wind tunnel sculpted, 61mm deep rim profile that slices through the air and reduces the effect of gusts when navigating exposed roads. Additionally, the rim’s 21mm internal measurement increases tire sidewall support, lowering rolling resistance and improving impact resistance when using energy-saving decreased inflation pressures. The inner rim format is hooked, permitting the rider a choice between the fastest tubeless-ready or standard clincher tires.
HED’s in-house designed GP Performance hubs spin smoothly, accept Center Lock disc brake rotors, and are linked to the rims via Sapim CX-Sprint spokes arranged in two-cross lacing patterns, front, and rear.
